Jerome Harrison breaks Jim Brown’s single game Browns rushing record

The Browns seem to have figure out what many of us have been saying for years – that Jerome Harrison can be a feature back in the NFL. There should be little doubt now that Harrison has set the single-game rushing record for the Browns. The game isn’t over yet, but Harrison has more than Jim Brown’s total of 238 yards according to CBS.

UPDATE: Jerome Harrison just ran for his third touchdown of the day to give the Browns the lead with less than a minute left. He now has 286 yards on the day! According to Tony Grossi it’s the third-highest single-game total in NFL history.

Cavs fall to Rockets

Just when you thought the Cavs were on a roll, they lose two straight to teams they should beat. Mike Brown was ejected from the game in tonight’s loss to the Rockets, and you get the feeling that this Cavs team loses focus from time to time. It’s a long season, and we all understand that this team has been built to hopefully excel in the playoffs, but games like this are still frustrating.

The Browns finally play Brian Robiskie

What were they waiting for? I’m sure there are things Brian Robiskie needs to do better, but keeping him inactive for a one-win team is beyond stupid. At the very least Robiskie can be a very good possession receiver. It’s another example of where we have to wonder if Mangini and Daboll know what they’re doing.

Today they gave him a chance, and Robiskie responded with 4 catches for 69 yards. Not a bad day, so hopefully they’ll keep him in there for the rest of the season.

Have the Browns found a tight end?

Nobody expected the Browns to beat the Chargers, but at least the offense played reasonably well. Brady Quinn had another nice game, and the Browns may have found a tight end. The Browns recently signed Evan Moore to the practice squad and then activated him this week. Moore responded with 6 catches for 80 yards. He’s a big guy and it looks like he has great hands. If he can stop getting injured, he may have finally found a home in the NFL and the Browns might finally have a decent player at that position.
