This is not good. Don’t tell me to calm down.
General manager Danny Ferry said tests on James have not shown anything abnormal, and his understanding is that James’ heart “is not an issue.”
I’m gonna start crying shortly.

Why does God hate Cleveland? Why?
James was admitted to the Cleveland Clinic on Wednesday night as he continued to experience discomfort for what has been diagnosed by team doctors as a strained left pectoral muscle. The team didn’t reveal James’ hospital stay until Thursday when the 20-year-old did not practice with the Cavaliers. Cavaliers general manager Danny Ferry said all the preliminary testing done on James has been normal. Ferry hopes James can be released on Thursday.
Kenny Roda just read a statement from the Cavs saying that Lebron will stay in the hospital for more tests. Don’t know about you, but I’m preparing for the worst. Maybe he’s got some kinda staph infection like everybody else in the entire Cleveland sports universe.
I don’t like mystery injuries. Not at all.
He began experiencing pain Tuesday. But he was baffled about how he was injured in an exhibition game Monday night against Washington. “I don’t know where it came from,” James said. “I don’t remember getting elbowed in the chest. I woke up yesterday morning and it was hurting. It’s something I’ve never felt before.”
Cavs list him as day to day.
It’s not that scary…LBJ has a strained pectoral, and should be back Friday. This team’s defense is already a big story, and Luke Jackson again surprised everyone, leading the team with 14 points, in the 96-86 victory. Mike Brown on the defense…
“It’s a preseason game, and I don’t care if we win or lose, but the things I look at are effort, help, communication and trust on the defensive end of the floor,” Brown said. “I saw some of those things tonight. . . . as long as their effort is there, we’ll always have a chance to win.”
It’ll be good for the team to have some on the floor experience without LBJ. Bench production was terrible last year, and Lebron played way too many minutes. Maybe this injury has a silver lining.
Let the hype resume.
“LeBron has everything in place for him to take over the NBA,” said analyst and Hall of Famer Bill Walton. “He has the experience now. LeBron’s success will be determined on how good these other guys are.”
I like Bill Walton, and agree with him on this, but since when is he the go-to guy for this kind of stuff?
