Lebron too much for Spurs

This team is really strange. They dominate at home when facing good teams, yet they blow it against the weak teams. Basically, they have talent, but they still need to put it all together. Tonight Lebron dominated agaist the Spurs, scoring 44 points in a 101-87 victory.

Cleveland is 14-2 at home against teams over .500, and 5-5 against teams under .500. The win over the Spurs came two days after a lackluster home loss to Golden State.

“We have to grow up,” James said. “We can’t keep beating Phoenix, Detroit and San Antonio and then lose to sub-par teams.”

That pretty much sums it up.

Cavaliers losing ways continue

The Cleveland Cavaliers are officially getting tired. After losing a game that they could have easily won in Washington, the Cavs allowed a depleted Golden State Warriors team to come into the Q and beat them. Lebron James led the Cavs with 33 and they had 5 guys in double figures. Once again, it was Cleveland’s inability to stop its opponent defensively down the stretch that cost them the victory. Cleveland will need to play with more confidence and finesse if they want that critical fourth playoff spot.

OSU uses the long ball to dump Wolverines!

Thad Matta is proving that it’s his coaching and not just his recruiting that will bring the Ohio State basketball program to the next level. Tonight, Matta and the Buckeyes went into the “state up north” and put a sound beating on the Wolverines. Ohio State offset a poor rebounding night with an unbelievable night from the 3-point line by hitting 15-24 from behind the arc. These types of road victories are tough to come by in the Big Ten this year and displays just how much Matta has changed the Ohio State basketball program.

Let’s all just admit that Dolan is CHEAP!!!

I recently caught myself reading articles on the Cleveland Indians and constantly saying “we are building a winner”. It’s cheap and less risky to continue building a winning team. The expensive and challenging part is maintaining one. The Indians (Dolan) are always focused on the future. The batting average for Coco Crisp against competitive teams was huge and he always stepped up in the key situation. The same can’t and shouldn’t be said for Aaron Boone or Casey Blake.
The Boston Red Sox want to win now, hence they didn’t ask for either one of them. The Cleveland Cavaliers owner, Dan Gilbert, is out spending money and creating an entertaining and competitive franchise. Mr. Dolan, if you can hear all of us baseball fans, “win now”, before all the young talent you have leaves for big money or start to slide. We need to start saying this is year, and not next year in this town!

Cavs help us forget football!

On a night when Cleveland fans were bitter after watching a Super Bowl that the hated Steelers had won(were given), the Cavaliers gave us something to cheer about. LeBron James and the Cavs had just blown a 10 point lead and the Milwaukee Bucks had the ball with a chance to win the game. Michael Redd, a once loved Ohio guy had the ball and was driving for the winning score.
Surprise, Anderson Varejao stepped in front of Redd and took the charge. Cleveland then perfectly executed an inbound play to Donyell Marshall for the dunk and yes, football is over and basketball has begun. The timing for this game was perfect and the results were surprisingly positive. Cleveland, get on your feet and support this team.
We are forming a successful organization here and they deserve the support.
