Last time Cavs started 6-2?

From the PD

2000-2001, Randy Wittman’s second season. That team would improve to 15-9 before Zydrunas Ilgauskas suffered his last foot injury. The Cavs went 15-43 the rest of the season.

I remember how shocked we all were at that team’s hot start. If the Cavs had a major injury (God forbid) this team would probably not collapse so completely as the 2000-2001 team. Injury is probably the only way this team fails to get to the playoffs.

How high does Hawk go?

A former Browns scout

“He’s got the top-notch athletic ability and the leadership – he’s got the whole package. Rarely do linebackers go in the top five, so I would guess ninth, 10th, something like that. Somebody would have to fall in love with him to go higher than that.”

Don’t know about you, but I’m in love. If he’s available when the Browns pick (which I think will be 4 or 5) they need to take him.

Creating the next T.O. – the whiny media blitz

Yeah. This is a positive development.

“They picked me up at 5:30 in the morning,” Edwards said on Wednesday. “I did the first radio interview at 5:50. Did FOX 8 or 5, I can’t remember which. Did some more radio interviews, took me home and then picked me up again. Did ESPN, “Best Damn Sports Show,” more radio. Went out to Mayfield Heights. . . . It was a lot of fun.” Edwards used the appearances to reiterate his frustration with not getting the ball enough in games.

Lovely. Just wonderful.
