The mother of Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James has been arrested for driving while intoxicated, disorderly conduct and other charges, police said.

The officers said James smelled of alcohol and she appeared to be disoriented, Edwards said. She struggled with police as they attempted to put handcuffs on her. They put her in the back seat of the housing authority car and she kicked out a window, Edwards said. James was taken to a police station, where she refused to take breath or sobriety tests, Edwards said.

Kicked out a window? Yikes.

How many times have we seen him miss these late, clutch freebies?

Cavs went 17-29 from the free throw line, the starting 2-guard Damon “World’s Greatest Shooter” Jones goes 1-6 from the field, all 3-pointers, and still the Cavs win by 8 points. How’d they do it?

Oh wait. Lebron James. 35 pts, 6 assts, 7 rebs, no turnovers, and a blocked shot. Never mind.

I thought it would take a couple weeks for the Cavs to figure that formula out, but last night in Milwaukee seems to be the formula. More defense, more Z, and more Lebron. The kid just seems to know instinctively when it’s time, say, for a triple double.

The NBA has been put on notice…the Cavs are for real. Detroit’s 9 game win streak ends at the Q. The Pistons, best team in the NBA, were never really in the game. They made a few runs, but after the 1st quarter, they got no closer than 10 points. Lebron just keeps dominating in every statistical category, and when the Pistons had a spurt in the 4th quarter, it was Lebron who brought it to a halt. They are for real.
