Kick up your feet, Lebron

Relax, big fella. After all, you’ve just been pleuritic.

The Cavaliers have a road game in Milwaukee on Saturday, but it’s doubtful James will make the trip. “He could possibly play tomorrow, if he wants, but we’ll probably end up holding him out,” Cavs coach Mike Brown said. “It’s the preseason, the first few games really aren’t important. I don’t care if we win or lose preseason games. My main focus is to get guys rest.”

Milwauke ain’t all that pleuritic, anyway. Won’t be missin’ much. Just stay home, play a little X-Box.

Lebron goes pleuritic

Wow. Of all the weird Cleveland sports thingies, pleurisy is a new one.

Pleurisy is inflammation of the thin layers of tissue (pleura) covering the lungs and the chest cavity. Pleurisy is often associated with a sharp chest pain that is made worse by a deep breath or cough. This is known as pleuritic pain.

So Lebron was pleuritic. I like that. Maybe from now on, when Lebron posterizes someone, we can call it “goin’ pleuritic on yo’ ass!”

There’s something about Lebron that transcends all that Cleveland sports hell, that allows us to make fun of a viral disease which Lebron overcomes. Lebron went pleuritic on that virus, baby!

Brinda scratching his head

About Lebron. So am I. This morning on WKNR…

The Cleveland Clinic ain’t the Motel 6. This is a hospital, allright. I understand he is Lebron James, OK. But it is a little odd that they made him spend the night in the hospital unless they truly don’t wanna leave any stone unturned with him. … Do you think that any hospital on the planet, considering the cost of medicine and health in this day and age, would say, “you know what, we’re checkin’ out that bruise over there, but we’re gonna keep you overnight?”

This is a lot of precaution for a strained pec muscle. Call me crazy.

Mike Brown sounds upbeat on Lebron

Listening to Cavs coach Mike Brown on WTAM tonight, he sounds pretty loose about Lebron’s condition, but at the same time, says Lebron is staying in the Clinic overnight on Thursday night. Says the diagnosis is a strained pectoralis.

I feel a bit better, but not that much. Why is he still staying overnight if it’s just a strained pec? Sounds like A LOT of caution.
