Brinda scratching his head

About Lebron. So am I. This morning on WKNR…

The Cleveland Clinic ain’t the Motel 6. This is a hospital, allright. I understand he is Lebron James, OK. But it is a little odd that they made him spend the night in the hospital unless they truly don’t wanna leave any stone unturned with him. … Do you think that any hospital on the planet, considering the cost of medicine and health in this day and age, would say, “you know what, we’re checkin’ out that bruise over there, but we’re gonna keep you overnight?”

This is a lot of precaution for a strained pec muscle. Call me crazy.

Mike Brown sounds upbeat on Lebron

Listening to Cavs coach Mike Brown on WTAM tonight, he sounds pretty loose about Lebron’s condition, but at the same time, says Lebron is staying in the Clinic overnight on Thursday night. Says the diagnosis is a strained pectoralis.

I feel a bit better, but not that much. Why is he still staying overnight if it’s just a strained pec? Sounds like A LOT of caution.

Lebron in hospital – half of Cleveland soon to follow

Why does God hate Cleveland? Why?

James was admitted to the Cleveland Clinic on Wednesday night as he continued to experience discomfort for what has been diagnosed by team doctors as a strained left pectoral muscle. The team didn’t reveal James’ hospital stay until Thursday when the 20-year-old did not practice with the Cavaliers. Cavaliers general manager Danny Ferry said all the preliminary testing done on James has been normal. Ferry hopes James can be released on Thursday.

Kenny Roda just read a statement from the Cavs saying that Lebron will stay in the hospital for more tests. Don’t know about you, but I’m preparing for the worst. Maybe he’s got some kinda staph infection like everybody else in the entire Cleveland sports universe.

Two Dilfer articles – one great Romeo quote

Today, both the PD and the Baltimore Sun do stories on Trent Dilfer’s return to Baltimore on Sunday. They’re both saying that Dilfer is handling it well, toning himself down from Monday to today. The Sun has my favorite quote, from Romeo Crennel.

“I think that the human nature side of him says that he will be emotional,” Crennel said, “but because of his experience, he will be able to control that. Then, if he is not able to control it, I will try to control it for him.”

The PD’s Dilfer story doesn’t go with this quote…why the hell not? It’s fantastic. For such a straight shooter, old-school guy, Crennel is proving very quotable.
