If Indians sign Ryan…

That starts a lot of dominoes

If the Indians did sign Ryan, especially to a three-year deal, it might be difficult to re-sign set-up man Bob Howry. Not only is Howry seeking a three-year deal, but a report out of Chicago said he’s close to signing with the Cubs. Ryan made $2.6 million this year. He’s in line to make much more.

Does Wickman get approached to fill Howry’s role? Or is he just sent packing?

Damon Jones injury

This will be a good test of how deep the Cavs bench will be this season. Jones has been a key player, probably the 7th man after Donyell Marshall’s 6th man. Jones turned his ankle last night, it doesn’t sound serious, but he’ll probably miss some games. Jones is the 2 in the 1-2 punch from the bench. Where that punch will come from while he recovers will be interesting to see.

Cavs maintain 20 pt home victory margin

As soon as we were done singing Carmen Ohio at the OSU banquest at Windows on the River last night, we all looked at our watches and wondered if the Cavs were still playing, raced downstairs to the Rock Bottom Brewery, and found the Cavs up by 10 in the 4th quarter. Before we were half way through our first beers, the lead stretched to 22 and the game was over.

It’s getting very difficult to ignore this team.

Washington Post team of the week

Sounds like they miss Larry Hughes…

The past four games, Larry Hughes has averaged 23 points, 6.5 assists and 5.5 rebounds. Looks like he’s finally beginning to find his rhythm. The Cavaliers are also 5-0 at Quicken Loans Arena this season, winning each game by an average of 20.

I think we might finally have a competitive home game tonight…bad blood between Cavs and Celtics, no?
