Phil Savage said that he called the Packers for three straight days trying to discuss a possible trade to get the #5 pick in order to draft A. J. Hawk, but the Packers weren’t interested.
Also, Buckeye defensive end Mike Kudla didn’t get drafted, despite tying the record for most reps benching 225 pounds at the combine. Maybe the Browns will give him a look as a free agent.
