Buckeyes got lucky today with a bunch of Michigan State mistakes. Troy Smith still looks like a guy who doesn’t really know how to play QB. I loved how Gary Danielson kept saying stuff like, “Smith’s problem is mechanics…Smith’s problem is fundamentals…” Why is a guy who’s problems are mechanics and fundamentals starting for the Ohio State Buckeyes at QB?

I’m just glad the guy isn’t wearin’ No. 19 anymore.

“I don’t want to go out there and be like, ‘I’ve got to play like Braylon Edwards,’ ” said Jackson. “Be cause I can’t play like Bray lon Edwards. Braylon is Bray lon. I’m not going to go out there and try to do what Braylon does. I do what I do.”

Why do they have to put microphones in front of these guys’ mouths? “I do what I do.” Genius.

Any thoughts on how the Cavs have done without Lebron? Probably way too early to take a couple pre-season games without Lebron James and make a bunch of projections off of it, but I couldn’t help but notice. Defense gave up 100 points last night. A lot of guys are getting playing time, which is good.
