A tent city started springing up outside Beaver Stadium at Penn State on Sunday. For today’s game. Saw some coverage of it today at halftime of the MN-UM game. Looks like the most fun anyone will ever have in their entire college career. Here’s an overhead shot that doesn’t do it justice. They had a one man tent packed with four girls on the halftime show. Ah….college.

ESPN online scoreboard rocks

Posted on Saturday 8 October 2005

For some reason, we are seeing the Michigan-Minnesota game on ABC in Cleveland, instead of the Oklahoma-Texas game, which arguably has more relevance to Buckeye fans. Thank goodness for ESPN’s online scoreboard, which updates every score in all the big games almost instantly.

Crennel’s slowly slowly approach

Posted on Saturday 8 October 2005

I saw this clip on the news the other day, and it just appeared in the PD.

“You guys like Braylon, right?” Crennel said. “Ever since we signed Braylon, you guys have been talking about Braylon this and Braylon that.” “If Braylon makes some more plays, that might help him out,” Crennel said Crennel went on to say that Edwards is making great progress and that he’s not dissatisfied with him in any way. He also said he might move him up to the No. 1 receiver at some point this season.

I really like Crennel’s approach. He’s under absolutely no pressure to win right now, but even if he was, you get the sense that he’s just going to take his time with every player. That’s good.

Now see, this is why we needed to beat Texas

Posted on Saturday 8 October 2005

So that we don’t have all this who-needs-to-lose-when nonsense. Very confusing. Just win, baby.

Might be going to watch the game tonight with a bunch of alums in the flats at the Odeon. Anyone else up for that? I think I need convincing.
