There is some speculation around the league that Randy Lerner plans to sell a small portion of the Browns next year. The buyers, a possible Hollywood consortium, will have the option of purchasing the whole team, the following year. This will bring a “movie star” flavor to the Browns, with Tom Cruise being involved in the purchase. I am not surprised by this rumor. I never felt that Lerner wanted to own the franchise that his father both loved and honored. I just hope that the new owners will be as committed to winning as the new GM and coaches in the Browns organization.
