Browns offensive line already the best since 1992

Mary Kay Cabot’s article about why Trent Dilfer is buying a lot of big hungry linemen a lot of dinners lately…

The line, which dines out together at a different restaurant each week, took Dilfer’s guarantee to heart and did not allow a sack for the second straight week en route to a 26-24 upset in Green Bay. It marked the first time since 1992 the Browns line did not allow a sack in back-toback games.

I’ve always thought that if this team, or any team, could ever sort out their offensive line situation, they’d immediately be competitive. Indy has Dwight Freeney, who Browns center Jeff Faine thinks is the best pass rusher in the league. This week will be a big test.
