More on Frye

Man, the more you read about Charlie Frye, the more you start to wonder how he fell all the way to the Browns in the third round today.

In part one of a two-part series on, Zac Jackson explains how Frye’s ability to learn and excel in a new offense during his senior year at Akron opened the eyes of plenty of NFL scouts and GMs.

In part two of his article, Jackson says Frye continued to impress during his pro day workouts and subsequent interviews, especially Browns general manager Phil Savage and director of player personnel Bill Rees.

Marla Ridenour from the ABJ covered one of Frye’s pre-draft workouts in which he answered questions about his so-called lack of arm strenth.

Ridenour also discussed how Frye’s hard work paid off during his collegiate career and in the weeks leading up to the draft.
