LeBron’s mom rowdy and drunk

Posted on Saturday 21 January 2006

This isn’t good pub at all:

The mother of Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James has been arrested for driving while intoxicated, disorderly conduct and other charges, police said.

The officers said James smelled of alcohol and she appeared to be disoriented, Edwards said. She struggled with police as they attempted to put handcuffs on her. They put her in the back seat of the housing authority car and she kicked out a window, Edwards said. James was taken to a police station, where she refused to take breath or sobriety tests, Edwards said.

Kicked out a window? Yikes.

Buckeyes taking care of business

Posted on Saturday 21 January 2006

Some thought there would be a letdown for Thad Matta’s Buckeyes after the big win against Wisconsin, and to some extent there was with a sloppy first half against the Nittany Lions. However, when the chips were on the table, the Buckeyes did what great teams do and hung on for a very solid win on the road.

This wasn’t as impressive as their first win against PSU, but many knew the rematch would be closer. Je’Kel Foster had a strong start to the second half that really helped get the Buckeyes going, and the entire team did a great job on the glass in the 2nd half, allowing the Nittany Lions to get only five 2nd half rebounds (they had 23 in the first half). All in all, a solid win for Ohio State.

Browns number one in wrong poll

Posted on Saturday 21 January 2006

The Cleveland Browns finally hit number one in a poll. The misery we have witnessed over the past years is being recognized by the NFL society. The missed opportunities, the bad drafts, moving the team are all examples of why we are number one. It’s almost perfect timing for this poll as we read about upper management confusion and Art Modell looking for our sympathy. I’m not convinced the mild mannered Romeo is going to bring us to the promise land.
