On PTI, my favorite sports show ever, they always say “look at the schedule”. They did a good job of that on the WOIO broadcast last night, and from that, I’d be worried.
Browns could easily start 0-3. First game against the Bengals is the easiest, but they are on the rise. Then we go on the road for Green Bay, and Indy, both of which have excellent running games…this Browns run defense is probably the least impressive thing about pre-season. Best case scenario is 1-2 out of the box. Then a bye week, which will probably feel like sweet mercy. Hard to argue that the first game of the year is a must-win, but I think this year, it probably is.

I’m definitely nervous, though with Green Bay’s defense, I wouldn’t be surprised to see them pull out a win at Lambeau. The Cinci game may prove to be more difficult than the Packers game, when it’s all said and done.
Still, 0-3 looms as a distinct possibility.
If we don’t beat Cincy, we’ll beat Green Bay. There is no way we’ll go 0-3. No way. But, you have to remember that at Indy, the battle was Couch vs Manning. And with Couch, he lost his confidence after the first few plays. You won’t see that with Dilfer. And, we have a good receiving core this season that will blast through. The only thing I worry about is with Indy’s receiving core. We need to stop that and I don’t think we have that strength yet.
But, I really see us being able to beat Cincy and Green Bay.
