The Cleveland Browns season is over; they won’t be going to the playoffs. Like always at this time of year, they must start preparing for the future. The early reports are that quarterback Charlie Frye is injured and probably won’t play this Sunday. This is good and bad news for the Browns.
The bad news is that Frye is a competitor and really trying to help this team succeed. A serious injury will slow down his progress and time to gain experience. This year’s offensive line problems prohibited us from seeing Frye’s full potential.
The good news is that a fresh new face behind center may be just what this team needs. Derek Anderson is also a young quarterback. He showed patience and guts standing in the pocket while taking hits and still releasing the ball for key completions.
The Browns season is over, but competition for next year’s positions has just begun.

This is kinda off the topic but I think the browns are showing stability and consistancy in backing Romeo, I thought that from the time of Phills Press Confrence not just after the win this weekend. If they dont win another game this year Romeo is our guy. They also showed alot of class in respecting Ryan Tuckers privacy, that made me proud to be a fan and shows we are building a quality orginazation. I hope we get to see more of Charlie, maybe he’s catching on to the speed of the NFL game. It was only for the first half but he was playing well, I just keep saying “Charlie wake up lets go, times running out for you lets go, show us what you can do.”
Sparky,
I agree with what you’re saying. Charlie has the heart, I hope he has the talent.
