The Cavaliers quickly silenced all the critics about their poor field goal and free throw shooting, at least for one night. The offense played like they’re capable of, even against a usually solid Bulls defense, as they routed Chicago 113-94.
The Cavs’ bench bunch played a key role in the victory. Donyell Marshall and Anderson Varejao each scored 15 and Sasha Pavlovic exploded for 16 points as the bench scored 56 points. The Cavs built an early 30-18 lead as the first quarter came to a close and then cruised from that point. LeBron finished with a mere 19 points but had 12 assists as the team did a much better job of working the offense and spreading ball around. We’ll be in much better shape if we can get consistent play from our bench.
In addition, rookie Shannon Brown scored his first two points of his NBA career on a layup in garbage time.

They looked good. Real good. They can probably lookl ike this on most night’s with a decent amount of concentration which comes with the playoffs. Danny Ferry is a bad GM. He has had loads of money and I think he’s done a very mediocre job BUT better than Paxson-but that’s not saying much.
Great effort by the Cavs! Making free throws really does help! They held their old friend Ben Wallace in check all night. The bench really stepped up last night - Shasha and the Wild Thing had good minutes.
The Cavs are a better team than the Bulls. So they have Ben Wallace, so did Detroit, and we smaked them right in the mouth. Good to see Shannon Brown get some playing time. I look for him to step up, and reduce the playing time of Jones, Snow, and Wesley. That’s how the Cavs are supposed to play. Could potentially be the best Cavs team ever!!!!
So much for Louisville’s argument of being the 2nd best team in the country. They narrowly beat West Virginia, and all you heard was people trying to match them up in a game vs. OSU. Maybe next year. That’s a phrase us in Cleveland are familiar with.
i agree that the cavs are better than the bulls, but how can you say we smacked detroit in the mouth? from what i remember they slapped his in the face when they won that series.
True, Detroit did win the series. but Everyone thought they would wipe the floor with the Cavs. Quite the contrary, they went into the series, and beat the sh!t outta the “Piss”tons. Smacked them right in the mouth!
the pistons won the series. how did they beat the shit out of them? doesnt make sense. the cavs gave them a good run, but won 3 games that couldve gone either way, and lost 4 games in blowouts. detroit was the better team last year.
