The 17-10 victory over Illinois was a little too close for comfort, but hopefully it will force the Buckeyes to improve their focus heading into the Michigan game in two weeks. The offense sputtered in the rain in the second half, but the defense was outstanding.
Troy Smith did not do a great job handling the pressure. He and the Buckeyes will need to play better to defeat Michigan.

Abismal,
it’s the only word to describe it and I can not determine what happened. The offense was fine in the first half and it looked as if OSU had another breeze win. OSU almost played bad enough to lose that game and showed no urgency to anything in the second half. It’s as if they stopped caring. I have NEVER seen Tressel get outcoached at halftime and he did. I really hoped he layed into them after the game because if they dont get there act together, they could lose to Northwestern let alone Michigan.
