So much for making adjustments during the bye week. The offense was pitiful in the 17-7 loss against the Browncos.

this is pathetic.
the stadium is going to start being emptier each week now.
crennel looked and sounded hopeless after the game.
succesful players forget how to play when they come to cleveland (jurevicious 2 drops???) etc.
coaches can’t coach (crennel said they didn’t expect to do anything in the first half???) etc.
WTF IS GOING ON WITH THIS FRANCHISE???
at least i didn’t have to see vickers running sweeps this week.
but i saw plenty of:
- third and 1 and we call slow developing pass plays…
- fourth and 1 and we call a pass play with charlie rolling out…
- third and long (8+) and we call runs…
- a couple fullback passes (to smith)
so the play calling is still worthless.
and i also saw:
- cribbs let a punt fall and then try to pick it up after the were a ton of broncos around him
- a droughns back fumble
- more frye int’s
– jurevisious/edwards/winslow drops
i first thought 8 wins, then after week 2 i said 3 wins, now i’m not sure if we’ll get 2 wins.
this is the first time since crennel/savage have been here where i am clearly losing confidence in them. incluse charlie frye in that too.
The Browns showed very little yesterday, except that they need better caoching and veteran leadership, all of which they lack very badly. Carthon needs to go or go to the booth because the only successful play that I saw was Cribbs on a flanker screen. But how innovative are you when a play works for 8 yards twice and you call the same play to the same player to the opposite side of the field. Think the defense isn’t going to be all over it the third time?
This isn’t Pop Warner where you call the same play until the defense stops it. It’s the NFL and the defense will stop it!
I lost alot of faith in the ability of the Brown’s to win when I saw a throw high in the air and the defensive back was the only one who saw it, and when Jureviscius dropped two balls that were needed catches.
The defense may keep them in the game until the fourth quarter, but without any offensive points (TD’s not FG’s), the Brown’s will continue to loose by two scores or more.
The defense ans special teams have been vright spots. If they can get the offense going, everything can change.
That’s why the coaching situation is so frustrating. Crennel needs to wake up.
