The Yankees took out some frustration from Tuesday’s shellacking and did some beating up of their own. The Tribe got pounded 11-3 Wednesday night, ending their four-game win streak. Paul Byrd, who has been very effective as of late, gave up a fourth inning grand slam to Melky Cabrera and lasted only 3 2/3 innings. To his defense, the eight-run fourth the Yanks put up wasn’t all his fault. Aaron Boone made two errors in the inning on routine ground balls and Byrd was unable to stop the bleeding from there. Boone’s ugly day continued in the seventh when he dropped a foul ball for his third error of the game. Only four runs were charged to Byrd.
“Like I’ve heard all my life, if you play long enough, you’ll have a day like that,” Boone said. “I had that day, and it’s not a lot of fun.”
Boone needs to go and we need to see Marte in Cleveland ASAP. It’s not a knee-jerk reaction based on Wednesday night’s performance but a move that is critical for the future of the team. Boone is getting older and has no future with the Indians. With the season all but over, the team needs to get a look at Marte now at the major league level and break him in and get him some seasoning for next year.

I totally agree about Boone. He’s a great guy but it’s time to bring up Marte for the rest of the season.
Also, do you think Martinez will ever throw out a base runner ever again!?!
everything is back to normal, poor fundamentals, several errors, inability to throw out runners stealing, etc.
Why isn’t Marte up now? Are they afraid of another Brandon Phillips? Are the indians not bringing up Marte b/c they want to try and get some trade value for Boone. B/c when u try and play him everyday, this is what happens. And no team is rushing to the phones to try and trade for Boone. Boone sounds like a great guy from what i hear on the radio, but he is just not cutting it. Time to bring up the young talent, and hope they can develop for next year.
The Indians have so many holes that the key is not simply bringing up Marte before he’s ready or not ready. Personally, I’d like to see them give young players some big league exposure, but that can also backfire. The Tribe is chock full of so-called Nice Guys. I’d settle for a moody malcontent who can throw out a base runner or hit above the Mendoza Line.

you have good points and I agree LBJ will sign. But don’t you think that Lebron has put the Cavs at a disadvantage when it comes to other potential free agents who are looking at Cleveland, but will clearly not sign if LBJ is not inked.
Maybe we could have gotten Ben Wallace or PJ Brown. It seems like by the time LBJ signs we will be considering second to third teer free agents. This situation has been my only criticism of LBJ; he has done everything right… Ijust think he is being a little hypicritical by not coming out publically to vocalize he is here to stay and any other free agents who feel they can contribute are welcome to step forward.
After all Lebron always says his team comes first…..but by taking his good ole time about this extension it seems as LBJ is coming first

Danny i agree with what you say. Bringing up Marte isn’t going to make this team a winning ball club right away. I want to know what we will complain about if Marte is a Bust. Also, it’s nice to see Wedge get a little heated while talking to the Media. Kenny you made great points today during the show. Does Dolan want to pay another manager to come here and watch us suck it up. Keep up the good work. When you going to make your way to Wadsworth????
